Dr. Scholl's Corn Removers, 9-Count Packages (Pack of 8) Reviews

The corn wasn't hard or callus like, but it had a painful core that hurt when my pinkie toe pushed the slightest amount on it. I wasn't sure these would work because it looks like it was supposed to treat hard corns on the outside of the toes. I used two of the treatment discs, changed every 48 hours, and then gave my toe a two day break from them. I took a shower and while I was drying between my toes to prep it for another treatment, the whole corn just lifted off! It looked a little gross, but its totally gone (even the core)! I am so relieved and will definitely turn to these again if I have the same issue in the future! 16 of 17 people found the following review helpful ![]() By This review is from: Dr. Scholl's Corn Removers, 9-Count Packages (Pack of 8) (Health and Beauty) I've had to use Dr. Scholl's twice in my life, once to remove a painful plantar wart under my foot, and more recently for a corn. Dr. Scholl's is a proven product and I do not take chances with store brands or cheaper alternatives, although $3/packet is very cheap (but you have to buy 8). They are twice the price at my local Walgreens and Rite-Aid.The product is very effective and works as advertised, usually with just 2 applications, as stated on the packaging. Be sure to find the sheet of little brown stickers inside the packet. It can be easy to miss. This is the salicylic acid disc that burns off the corn (it doesn't hurt). The corn will become white over time and can be eventually peel off. The soft rubber cushions you see in the photo are just the covers to wear while the acid works. You change them every 2 days. Both times, it took less than 1 week to treat. Corns and calluses are pathologically the same (hardening of the skin in response to pressure and... I picked up a pack of these corn removers because it seemed like the easiest way to treat them. I was a bit dubious that it would work, actually, but thought it was worth a try. Well, I was delighted. The corn was gone within about a week. I probably used about four of the stick-ons in that time. It did make the surrounding skin go very white and start to come off, so I would suggest trimming the acid patch to a more exact size in order to avoid damage to the surrounding skin. (That, in any case, is what the manufacturer instructions tell you to do anyway.) All I had to do once the corn was gone was have a good foot soak and then clean up the area with a pumice stone. A great product!! |
